Issue 17 of "Jezerski vrh" is out: Stories about nature, identity and the people who protect Montenegro

The 17th issue of the magazine Jezerski vrh has been published, a quarterly publication that, through a combination of science, journalism and culture, affirms the natural values, identity and sustainable development of Montenegro. The new issue brings powerful stories about the natural resources, people and social processes that shape contemporary Montenegro.

Mr Jasmin Spahić writes about Đalovića Cave as one of the country's greatest untapped natural resources, pointing out its importance for the development of the north and the challenges in its valorization. Boban Redžepagić brings the story of the Kusija waterfalls, a hidden gem of Prokletije, which, with their authenticity and untouched beauty, testify to the power of nature.

Dr. Veselin Luburić analyzes the European path of ecology in Montenegro, recalling the Declaration on an Ecological State and the contemporary challenges of environmental protection. Aleksandra (Veljkova) Vujović writes about the mountain as a classroom, through the meeting of nature, youth and friendship. Veselin Živanović brings an inspiring story about Andrej Šibalić, the first Montenegrin parasnowboarder, as a symbol of perseverance and new sporting horizons.

Almir Jasavić writes about the healing properties of violets – the first scent of spring on Lovćen, through its significance in traditional medicine and folk lore. Sanja Lubarda addresses the topic of schools as a bridge for social integration, pointing to the key role of education in connecting vulnerable categories of society.

Božidar Proročić brings the story of Stevo Čavor, a fiddler and a graduate who preserves the spirit of tradition, as well as an author's text about Mić Balto from Biogradsko Lake - a tireless ranger and symbol of dedication to nature. Tomo Pajović writes about Durmitor and Žabljak as an example of the strength of local communities in the area of ​​national parks and a model of sustainable development.

Igor Kokotović presents a historical overview of forest care in the Principality of Montenegro, testifying to a deeply rooted awareness of the protection of natural resources.

Marina Kojović also makes a special contribution to this issue with an article about the participation of the Public Company for National Parks of Montenegro at the European Tourism Fair in Stuttgart, presenting Montenegro as a destination of exceptional natural and tourist value.

The new issue of Jezerski vrh magazine once again confirms its mission to preserve and affirm the values ​​of Montenegro through strong stories, authentic voices and a responsible attitude towards nature.
