„Precisely because I do not want to allow the negotiations on support for the constitutional amendments proposed by the Government of Montenegro to drag on indefinitely and to end up in a situation where we do not meet the deadlines set by the European Commission, I announce that the discussion in the plenary session on the necessary constitutional amendments will take place on Thursday and Friday. I also want to inform the public that on Wednesday, at the Collegium of the President of the Assembly, we will try to define the date for the first of three votes on the amendment of the Constitution, that is, the vote on the Proposal for the amendment of the Constitution,“ said Mandić in a statement on platform X.
This first vote, he said, will show which political parties are truly in favor of Montenegro being a country of happy, free, and wealthy people and the next member of the European Union, and which are not.
„It is important that we all clearly legitimize ourselves, not only to the domestic public but also to the European Union,“ Mandić noted.
