Sixth place for the Montenegrin veteran team at the World Championship

The veteran national team of Montenegro in the over-65 category took sixth place out of 54 teams at the World Team Championship held in Durres, Albania.

In the nine rounds played, our team achieved 6 wins and 3 losses. It is interesting to note that our team suffered minimal losses in all three rounds, with a score of 2.5-1.5.

The best play was shown by: FIDE master Vladimir Pajković on the second board and international master Zdravko Vuković on the fourth board.

Pajković achieved six wins, two draws and one loss and earned 7 points. Zdravko Vuković confirmed his class after a 20-year break and also earned 7 points, but with five wins and four draws.

Anastasija Bogojević and TENT Serbian champions, MVP Saška Đurović and Porto lead in the final

Legendary grandmaster Božidar Ivanović achieved four wins and a draw, with one loss, while international master Bogdan Podlesnik achieved four wins and two draws and a loss. Fide master Veselin Grbović suffered a defeat in the only game played.

The team's selector was FIDE master Mihailo Bukvić, while the coach was international master Dušan Lekić.

The performance of the veteran national team at the World Championship was supported by the Ministry of Sports and Youth.
