Buducnost beat Budva in three sets, will play the master class

Buducnost volleyball players defeated Budva 3:0 (25:22, 25:22, 25:19) and with their second triumph over the champion in just three days, they took the EPCG Super League playoff final series to the fifth match. The championship in Budva will be the first in the fight for the title in the volleyball competition since the independence of Montenegro.

The triumph in Budva after the turnaround, in which Budva led 1:0 and had an advantage in the early stages of the second set, gave wings to the Podgorica team, on which they "flew" over their great rival in SC "Morača".

Buducnost played perfectly, managing to gain an early advantage in all three sets and with great energy they reached the tie. In the first set, excellent attacks over Aleksa Nikolic i Marko VukašinovićThe experienced receiver of the Budućnost serve brought the first set point to the home team with a powerful serve, and Nikolić sealed it with a good attack on Budva's block.

In the second set, Budva managed to catch up with their rivals on several occasions, to reduce the gap to a minimum, but Buducnost always found mini-series and maintained the advantage. It was tight after several mistakes by the home team, Budva came close to 22:21, but could not go further. Service-fault Miljanić, who replaced in the second set Dodić, Buducnost took a 2:0 lead, once again with 25:22.

The Podgorica team was the most convincing in the last set. They opened it with four points, then overcame Nikolic reached 11:5, which was not enough for a calm finish. Budva made up for a deficit of five or six points on several occasions, the last time at 20:18, but mistakes cost the guests a chance to stay in the game to defend their title on the road. The end of the match was marked by Radić's team that won 25:19.

Aleksa Nikolic was the most efficient with 16 points, and the double-digit scorer on the winning team was Marko Vukasinovic with 13, while the captain Jovan Delic had nine points, and Rastko MilenkovićMarko Sindjelic i Srđan Petrović four points each. In Budva, the only one with double digits was Vukasin Cimbaljevic with 12 points, they had seven each Miro Miljanic i Lazar Dodic, but six middle blockers each Matija Ćinćur i Luka Babić.

The champion of Montenegro will be decided in the fifth match of the series, which is scheduled for Sunday, May 3rd in Budva, starting at 6 pm.
