“Parents welcomed this measure with great satisfaction. For us, service providers, it has given us an additional incentive to raise the quality of work to an even higher level,“ said Milivoj Bometa for TV Podgorica.
According to teacher Miki, the subsidies have enabled a larger number of parents to enroll their children in extended stay programs, including those for whom this service was previously financially inaccessible.
“Absolutely, the number of children has increased. On the other hand, we have welcomed back those children whose parents were unable to attend last year 2025.“, noted Bometa.
A larger number of children also means more activities, so in extended stays, in addition to homework assistance, special attention is paid to the development of social skills, creativity, and communal interaction.
“These are various motor games that children love the most, puzzles, and I even give some interesting math problems,“ emphasized teacher Suzana Popović.
That this way of working is most enjoyable for them is confirmed by the children themselves. Check out our survey with them.
Let us remind you, the payment of subsidies for May has already begun. According to the words of the secretary of the Secretariat for Social Care of the Capital City, Stefan Vešović, 680 parents and 30 licensed extended stays have applied so far. The commission is still processing the submitted documentation, but all parents who have submitted proper applications will receive the subsidy.
