The match was extremely uncertain from the first to the last minute. The teams exchanged leads, and almost the entire match was played in a tie. The Montenegrin water polo players showed character, calmness, and quality in decisive moments, managing to maintain their advantage and deservedly achieve their second victory in the championship.
The quarter scores were 5:4, 4:5, 4:3, and 1:1.
The most effective players for Montenegro were Todorović, Vraneš, and Durotović, each scoring three goals. Brnović and Dabić scored two goals each, while Roganović scored once.
With two victories in the first two rounds, the Montenegrin juniors have taken an important step towards qualifying for the next stage of the competition.
The last match of the group stage will be played tomorrow by Đorđe Radošević’s team against the Hungarian selection. The match is scheduled for 14:30 local time in Montenegro.
