Fudbalska reprezentacija Nigerija osvojila je treće mjesto na Afričkom kupu nacija, nakon što je u meču za bronzu savladala selekciju Egipta nakon boljeg izvođenja penala 4:2 (0:0 u regularnom dijelu).

Nije bilo pogodaka, a nije bilo ni previše uzbuđenja, pa su o pobjedniku odlučivali penali.

Junak Nigerije bio je golman Stenli Nvabali koji je odbranio dva penala i to prvim zvijezdama Egipta – Mohamedu Salahu i Omaru Marmušu.

Finale Afričkog kupa nacija na programu je sjutra od 20 sati u Rabatu, a sastaju se Maroko i Senegal.
