The leader in the table, Sutjeska, welcomes Arsenal from Tivat in a match that will be the debut of new coach Milorad Peković on the Nikšić bench.
The autumn champion took advantage of their rivals' mistakes in the last round and escaped Dečić and Mornar with a plus seven, while Arsenal is first below the line with 26 points. The team from Tivat achieved two wins and two losses in the spring part of the season, and in two duels this season they failed to threaten their rivals (a draw in Tivat and a loss in Nikšić).
"It's a great pleasure and pride, because my roots are from here, my father is from here. I would like to thank the people from the club for the trust they have shown me and the opportunity to be part of such a club with a tradition and a great name," said Peković.
The new coach of Sutjeska emphasizes that his team must remain focused despite their excellent situation in the standings.
"We are in a good position, but the work is not done. We have a lot of tough games ahead of us and we have to go from match to match. Now we are only focused on Arsenal. They are a good, tough and disciplined team, who play direct football, they have two very good strikers who, if you give them space, can cause problems. We have to pay attention to them," said the former Montenegro international.
Sutjeska's young defender, Miloš Vračar, believes his team can continue their winning streak.
"Another match in a row in which we are going for the win. We are the favorites on our home field and we will do our best to make the fans happy," said Vračar.
Current champion Budućnost welcomes last-placed Jedinstvo at the City Stadium "under Gorica".
Podgorica convincingly defeated city rivals Mladost in the last round, while Bijelo Polje tied two wins and thus revived their hopes of survival. However, tradition is completely on the side of the "blues", as Jedinstvo has never managed to defeat Budućnost in 33 head-to-head duels since the restoration of independence.
"The match against Mladost was tough and the most important thing is that we won three points. We played a good second half and achieved a good result," said Budućnost defender Ilija Serikov.
The Russian stopper warns that the duel with Jedinstvo will not be easy.
"Jedinstvo is a tough team, they showed that in the previous two rounds. They are a team fighting for survival and have nothing to lose in Podgorica, but we are only looking at ourselves," said Serikov.
In addition to these two duels, Dečić will visit Jezero in Berane and try to break a series of slightly weaker results, while Mornar will visit the penultimate Bokelj in Kotor in the coastal derby. Petrovac, which is breathing down the neck of the teams from the top, will welcome Mladost Lob.bet.
