Over 300 participants at the "Bar 2026" athletics meeting

The 32nd International Athletics Meeting "Bar 2026" was successfully held at the stadium of the Sports Center "Topolica" in Bar, bringing together around 300 competitors from several European countries.

The competition was officially opened by the Mayor of Bar, Dušan Raičević, and the ceremony was attended by the Director of the Directorate for Sports of the Ministry of Sports and Youth of Montenegro, Zoran Jojić, the President of the Athletics Federation of Montenegro, Milorad Vuletić, the President of AK Mornar Dr Dragoslav Tomanović, and the Secretary General of ASCG Milan Madzgalj.

The meeting took place in a great atmosphere in front of full stands, with beautiful weather and excellent conditions for achieving quality results. The organization of the Mornar Athletic Club once again proved to be at a high level, confirming the importance of this competition as one of the most important athletic events in the region. Cash prizes were awarded to the five best results in running, and three in throwing and jumping disciplines. 

The best result of the meeting in running disciplines was achieved by Tara Vučković (Crvena zvezda) with a result of 2:06.49 and 1049 points won. Second place went to Abedin Mujezinović (Bosnia and Herzegovina) in 800 meters – 1:49.29 (1048 points), third was Leon Taghi from Kosovo with a time of 1:49.64 (1036), the fourth result of the meeting in running was achieved by Minja Kopunović (Crvena zvezda) in 400 meters with a time of 55.07 (1010 points), and fifth was Relaksa Dauti (Albania) in 800 meters with a result of 2:10.89 (976 points).

In the throwing events, shot putter Mesud Pezer (Bosnia and Herzegovina) dominated with a throw of 19.97 meters and 1119 points, which was also the best result of the meeting, for which he was awarded the "Boro Ičević" Trophy. Second place was won by Muhamed Ramadani (Kosovo) with 19.23 (1075 points), while third was Nermin Štitković (Bosnia and Herzegovina) with 17.78 (995 points).

The best result in the jumping events was achieved by Fabian Delryd (Sweden) with a jump of 2.09 (993 points). Second place went to Zorana Buković (Voždovac, Belgrade) with 1.70 (974 points), while third was Glenis Haxhija (Kosovo) with a result of 2.05 (958 points).

When it comes to domestic representatives, the best result from the Mornar Athletic Club was achieved by Mihajlo Roćenović in the 800 meter race with a result of 1:54.77 and 894 points won.

The winner of the "Zoran Đikanović" memorial race at 1500 meters is Miljan Kukuličić from AK Mornar.
