"The idea came about when, as a child, I found my first semi-precious stone – garnet, specific to that area – in my mother's village, Brijege, so out of that love for the stone and the village, I embarked on this new venture to make these necklaces," said Sanja Stanković, the owner of the brand.
As she emphasized, each necklace carries its own story and is completely unique, meaning that no two pieces of this jewelry are the same.
"I implemented the garnet from Crmnica on a necklace as a demonstration material that this stone exists in our locality. In addition to granite, there are moonstone, hematite and other decorative elements made of stainless steel. This necklace is a premium product due to the fact that granite itself is not available in large quantities and is very difficult to obtain. I save the small stock that I have for special occasions and special orders," said Stanković.
She is currently working on finding new deposits of different types of stones, and she also plans to cooperate with mining engineers, all with the intention of presenting to people the wealth that the land in Montenegro holds within itself.
Along with a strong message to all women to follow their dreams and ideas, Stanković also expresses great gratitude to the Municipality of Bar for its support in the further development of her brand.
"We have received great help and support from the Municipality in all aspects, from material resources to marketing support. And with that, all it takes is courage and pure emotion for people to really realize what they want," she concluded.
This year's Public Call of the Municipality of Bar for participation in the entrepreneurship development support program has allocated a total of 360,000.00 euros for the development and launch of local businesses.
