As part of the discussion on the path towards the title of European Capital of Culture 2028, there was a discussion on how culture can become a key driver of urban development, strengthening identity and creating sustainable policies that remain even after large projects.

In her presentation, she shared the experience of Podgorica and highlighted several important lessons: culture must involve citizens, preserve the authenticity of the space, but also be part of broader public policy - related to urbanism, economy, and social development.

She particularly emphasized that the title of European Capital of Culture is not a goal in itself, but an opportunity for cities to improve the quality of life of their citizens in the long term, through partnerships, innovation and sustainable investments.

She thanked the organizers for the invitation and the opportunity to exchange experiences with colleagues from the region and Europe.
