General Mladić was arrested on May 26, 2011, in the village of Lazarevo near Zrenjanin, Serbia.
On November 22, 2017, the Hague Tribunal sentenced him to life imprisonment, and the verdict was confirmed on June 8, 2021, for war crimes during the war in Bosnia and Herzegovina from 1992 to 1995.
