Students from the "21. maj" Elementary School in Podgorica, together with teachers and guests from the Natural History Museum, once again showed how much children love science through experiments and practical work, as part of the Science Day, a traditional event of this school, where they presented their acquired knowledge at numerous stands.
,,Što se tiče štanda informatike najviše interesa budi 3D štampač koji će tokom cijelog dana štampati makete, a naši učenici će pojasniti kako funkcioniše 3D štampač i kako od tog filamenta, odnosno plastike izađe gotov proizvod“, kazao je nastavnik informatike, Dragutin Đurović.
The curator of the Natural History Museum, Lidija Leković, said that she was very pleased that today, with a small part of the collection, they managed to convey to children how rich our nature is, the importance of its preservation, and to beautifully show what some species look like in real life so that the youngest can recognize them when they encounter them in nature.
Knowledge of biology and chemistry in practical classes was demonstrated through blood pressure measurement and blood group determination, then through the presentation of medicinal plants and their applications in Montenegro, as well as through interesting chemical experiments that brought science closer to the visitors in a direct way.
These activities best demonstrate how important the dedicated work of teaching staff with students is, where practice takes a key place, and children most easily acquire and permanently understand knowledge through curiosity and active participation.
