Criminal charges against four people for illegal construction in Bar, Ulcinj and Pljevlja

Officers of the Crime Prevention Sector - Department for Combating Corruption, Economic Crime, Conducting Financial Investigations and Suppression of Environmental Crime, in cooperation with officers of the Construction Inspection, the Ministry of Spatial Planning, Urbanism and State Property, and in coordination with the basic state prosecutor's offices in Bar, Ulcinj and Pljevlja, have filed criminal charges against four individuals suspected of the criminal offense of constructing a building without a permit and construction documentation, the Police Directorate announced.

It is suspected that SP (74), MB (53), SP (37), and RA (70) committed the criminal offenses they are charged with by starting the construction of buildings in 2023, 2024, and 2025 without registration and construction documentation, thereby causing material damage in the amount of approximately 180,000 euros.

"Officers of the Crime Prevention Sector continue intensive and coordinated joint planning activities with construction inspectors to combat illegal construction of buildings throughout the territory of Montenegro, which, in addition to devastating the area, also causes material damage to the budget of Montenegro and its citizens," the Police Directorate concluded in a statement.
