Real Madrid, Sporting, Arsenal and PSG have already secured their places in the top eight, while the remaining four will be announced after tonight's second legs. One pair is also known, and it consists of Arsenal and Sporting.
The program opens with the duel between Barcelona and Newcastle at 6:45 p.m. The first match on the Island ended without a winner (1:1), but the Catalans are still big favorites to confirm their place in the next round in front of their fans.
Three more matches will be played from 9 p.m., with the most attention being drawn to the clash at the iconic "Anfield", where Liverpool welcomes Galatasaray. Victor Osimhen and his teammates are defending a minimal advantage from Istanbul (1:0), so a big fight for a place in the quarter-finals awaits on the Island.
A much calmer rematch awaits Bayern Munich, who practically finished their job in Bergamo eight days ago. The German giants defeated our Nikola Krstović's Atalanta with a convincing 6:1, so tonight's duel should be just a formality, unless a miracle happens.
Vincent Kompany has a problem with goalkeepers, so from the first minute, 16-year-old goalkeeper from Bayern's academy, Leonard Prescott, could take his place between the posts.
Atletico Madrid also have a large reserve from the first match. The "Quilts" defeated Tottenham 5:2 last Tuesday, and Igor Tudor's London team will try to achieve the feat in the second leg, although they will not be able to count on a dozen players tonight either. However, the "Crows" enter the duel with a little more confidence after the draw with Liverpool last weekend at "Anfield".
