He earned a place among the top eight yesterday as the first-place finisher in the group, with maximum performance.

At the start of the tournament, he defeated the Pole Pawel Wlodika 3:1 (5:11, 11:2,11:5 and 11:4) and avenged his defeat at the European Championship in Helsingborg.

In the next two rounds, he defeated Spaniard Marlon Lopez 3:0 (11:6, 11:8 and 11:4) and Briton Shay Tucker 3:0 (11:8, 11:5 and 11:6).

"I am very lucky to have won the tournament in Poland, especially after last year, which did not end the way I wanted. It means a lot to me that I played well in Vladislavovo, that I found my rhythm and that my confidence is slowly returning," Radović told the MINA agency.

He emphasized that the game in Vladislavovo was at a high level.

"I had six tough matches, and I only lost three sets, and that best shows that I was good. In the group, I defeated the Pole Wlodika, who beat me at the European Championship. I started the tournament with a lost set, but I won the next three relatively easily. I also won the other two rivals in the group without any major problems," said Radović.

According to him, he played an excellent game against Ruiz and Mištal and deservedly won 3:0.

"The final was exciting, although I consider myself quite guilty that the match went the way it did. I started it well, I won the first set convincingly, while in the second I led 8:4 and 9:6. I lost focus a little in those moments, or my confidence increased, and my psyche was not at the right level either. I managed to lose that set despite having a set point. I won the next one quite tightly, while I lost the fourth, although I had a set point again. I am happy that in the fifth set I was losing 7:5, but I managed to turn it around and win the tournament," concluded Radović.

The second Montenegrin representative, Luka Bakić, ended his performance in the group, losing both matches in five sets, and in both he had a match point.

At the start, he lost to Brazilian Gabriel de Oliveira 3:2 (9:11, 8:11, 13:11, 11:6 and 117), even though he was leading 2:0 and had a serve to win in the third set.

In the qualifying match, he lost to the Pole Igor Mištal 3;2 (118, 4:11, 3:11, 11:5 and 13:11), although he had three match points in the fifth set.

The Montenegrin table tennis players in Vladislavovo were led by Marko Jevtović, who made his debut on the bench of Radović, and Damjanović, who was alongside Bakić.

A new challenge for Montenegrin para tennis players will be next week at the challenger in Linjan.
