Montenegrin water polo players justified their role as favorites in the World Cup qualifiers in Malta in the third match. After the plus 20 win against Great Britain (34:4), the "Sharks" coach Dejan Savić said that despite the easy games, every goal is important.

Previously, our team defeated Kazakhstan 27:6 and Argentina 21:5.

"We said before the competition that these would be three easy games, but that we must not relax for a moment. Everything counts because of this competition system, every goal, every win. We were not too stressed, although in the match with Argentina there was one drop in the game, which should not have happened," Savić told RTCG.

Now comes the more serious matches in the tournament.

"It remains to be seen where we will finish this phase, because it changes from moment to moment. The more important part of the competition is beginning," said the "Sharks" coach.

Danilo Stupar was named player of the match and thus celebrated his birthday.

"There would be no award without my teammates. There are tougher matches ahead, but if we are right, there will be no problems. It is still easier here than at the European Championship," said Stupar.
