In the Chamber Hall of the Music Center of Montenegro in Podgorica, on Wednesday, April 15, starting at 7 p.m., in the presence of an exceptionally large number of visitors, the promotion of the new, third issue of the scientific journal "Contexts of Culture: Studies in Humanities and Arts" was held, organized by the Society for Cultural Development "Bauo" and the Music Center of Montenegro.

The event was implemented within the framework of the program activities of the Publishing and Educational Sector of the Music Center of Montenegro, where the promotion of this magazine is organized for the third time, starting in 2024, thus confirming the continuity and importance of cooperation between the publisher and this important national cultural institution.

The following spoke about the journal and its latest issue: Tatjana Ćalasan, MSc, State Secretary of the Ministry of Education, Science and Innovation, Prof. Edin Jašarović, PhD, Editor-in-Chief of the journal and member of the International Scientific Editorial Board, Milena Jokanović, PhD, author of the paper in this issue, as well as Stanka Janković Pivljanin, MSc and Dušan Medin, MSc, members of the editorial board, initiators of the journal's founding and its previous editors.

In the introductory part of the program, the audience was addressed by Dušan Medin, a member of the editorial board, one of the initiators of the founding of the journal and its former editor-in-chief, who also acted as moderator. He spoke about the concept of the journal, its origin, mission and goals, as well as the need for such a scientific platform in the contemporary Montenegrin and regional context. He placed special emphasis on the idea of the publisher and the content orientation of the journal, which implies an interdisciplinary approach and connecting different areas of the humanities and arts.

The new editor-in-chief of the journal, Prof. Dr. Edin Jašarović, in his presentation, addressed the thematic framework of the latest issue, with a special focus on the importance of studying gastronomic heritage. He pointed out its role in modern tourism, as well as in the development of cultural and creative industries, emphasizing that such topics are increasingly gaining importance in modern scientific and professional research.

Ms Tatjana Ćalasan, State Secretary of the Ministry of Education, Science and Innovation of Montenegro, addressed the audience from the perspective of the institution that supported the publication of the journal. In her presentation, she emphasized the importance of "Context of Culture" for Montenegrin scientific and cultural production, highlighting its quality, relevance and contribution to the affirmation of research in the field of humanities and arts. She particularly pointed out the importance of continued institutional support for such initiatives, but also shared her personal impressions as a reader of the journal's works.

Stanka Janković Pivljanin, MA, presented the concept and content of the current, third issue of the journal in detail, highlighting the three thematic units within which the papers are structured. Through a systematic overview, she presented each individual paper, its authors and scientific contribution, explaining the reasons why these texts were selected for this issue.

At the end of the program, Dr. Milena Jokanović, a member of the International Scientific Editorial Board and one of the authors in this issue, spoke about her research process, with special emphasis on the methodological challenges she encountered during her work. Her research, which deals with autoethnographic and autoreflexive approaches to the study of gastronomic heritage, opened up questions of personal and collective relationships towards this type of intangible heritage, with an emphasis on the phenomenon of cake reforms.

It was emphasized that the journal "Contexts of Culture", published by the Society for Cultural Development "Bauo" from Petrovac na Moru, has in recent years established itself as a relevant platform for publishing original scientific and professional papers, with a clear focus on contemporary approaches to the study of culture, identity, cultural heritage and creative industries. Three issues have been published so far (2023, 2024 and 2025), while a fourth edition for 2026 is in preparation. This journal operates on the principle of open access, without charging for the publication of papers, thus contributing to greater accessibility of scientific and cultural content to the general public.

The publication of the journal was once again supported by the Ministry of Education, Science and Innovation of Montenegro through the Competition for Co-financing of Scientific and Research Activities, which further confirms the institutional significance of this publishing project.

The promotion brought together numerous representatives of the academic, professional and cultural public, as well as numerous interested citizens, and once again confirmed the important role of the magazine "Contexts of Culture" as a platform for the development and affirmation of humanities and artistic disciplines in Montenegro and the region.

After the official part of the program, a tasting segment was organized during which participants and visitors had the opportunity to get to know the segments of the coastal gastronomic heritage firsthand. On that occasion, traditional cakes and pastries were presented and tasted, among which the Peraška torta, Dobrota torta, Budva žmajtorta, coastal hruštule, pandošpanj and other authentic specialties stood out.
