"Sharks" against France for the final and a place in the final tournament

Montenegrin water polo players will play against France today in the semi-finals of the World Cup qualifiers in Malta.

By winning this duel, Dejan Savić's team would secure a spot in the final tournament, which will be held in Sydney at the end of July.

The "Sharks" have achieved all five victories so far - after convincingly defeating Kazakhstan, Argentina and Great Britain in the group, they beat hosts Malta in the round of 16, and then, in the biggest test, the Romanian national team.

On the other hand, France suffered one defeat, to Canada in the second round, and was better than Ukraine, Poland, Portugal and Russia.

The "Tricolors" have only managed to defeat the "Sharks" once in 20 duels between them, and that was four years ago in the quarterfinals of the World League - 12:9.

The match starts at 4:30 PM, and an hour and a half later, Georgia and Germany meet in the second semi-final.
