The session of the Council of the Agency for the Prevention of Corruption (ASK), at which the new director of the institution is being elected, began today with a discussion on the potential conflict of interest of individual members of the Council.

After the introductory debate, the process of interviewing candidates began, and the first to answer the questions of the Council members was candidate Nina Radulović.

Radulović said that she has been practicing law for eight years. She considers applying for the directorship competition a personal challenge and a professional and civic responsibility in a society in which law is increasingly being overshadowed by daily politics. If she were elected as the director of ASK, she stated that her first step would be to modernize the institution, and then expand its jurisdiction. She highlighted the mentality as the main problem in the fight against corruption, which, she stated, must change.

As announced, after her, the other candidates will be heard – Dušan Drakić, Vlado Stanišić and Kristina Braletić.

Meanwhile, candidate Mithat Kuč informed the Council that he would not attend the interview, which, as announced, marked the second time he had withdrawn from the candidacy.

The session is underway, and a decision on the selection of the director is expected after the completion of interviews with the candidates.
