The Montenegrin water polo team advanced to the semi-finals of the World Cup qualifiers in Malta, after defeating the Romanian team 14:8 (2:3, 6:2, 2:2, 4:1) today.

This was without a doubt the most serious test since the very beginning of the tournament for Dejan Savić's team, after routine and convincing triumphs over Kazakhstan, Argentina, Great Britain and Malta.

The Romanians took a 1-0 lead, and then Jovan Vujović and Strahinja Gojković turned it around to 2-1. However, the rival won the opening period 3-2.

Đuro Radović and his teammates played much better in the second quarter, which they won 6:2 and went into the break with a plus three (8:5).
