Virtus leaders want to extend the contract with Montenegrin expert Duško Ivanovic, despite the fact that the team from Bologna will have a hard time qualifying for the Euroleague playoffs.

The Italian "Basket Magazine" says that it is practically certain, unless there are any major surprises.

Ivanovic reportedly has an exceptional relationship with club owner Massimo Zanetti and sporting director Paolo Ronchi.

Virtus lost to Partizan at home last night (88:82) and is currently in 15th place with a score of 13-18. Panathinaikos holds the last position leading to the play-in, with three wins more and a game in hand.

Ivanovic has managed Limoges, Baskonia, Panathinaikos, Khimki, Besiktas and Red Star Belgrade during his career. He left his deepest mark at Vitoria, where he spent seven seasons in three terms and won three ACB leagues and four Cups.
