He said this during a meeting with the Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Montenegro, Brigadier General Miodrag Vuksanović.
As announced by the Ministry of Defense, the meeting discussed the security environment in Europe, strengthening the capabilities of the Armed Forces of Montenegro, improving interoperability with allied forces, developing military capacities, and continuing Montenegro’s active contribution to NATO missions, operations, and deterrence and defense activities.
Brigadier General Vuksanović emphasized that the Armed Forces of Montenegro remain a reliable ally that continuously invests in the development of capabilities and strengthening operational readiness.
“The Armed Forces of Montenegro are a credible part of NATO’s collective defense system. We will continue to develop capabilities that will enable us to respond shoulder to shoulder with our allies to all modern security challenges. The professionalism of our members and commitment to allied standards represent the best confirmation of our reliability within the Alliance,” Vuksanović stated.
SACEUR emphasized that the Armed Forces of Montenegro have built a reputation as a reliable and capable ally, whose professionalism and participation in allied activities continue to make a recognizable contribution to strengthening collective defense and NATO’s security.
“The strength of the Alliance is reflected in the commitment of each ally. The Armed Forces of Montenegro have proven to be professional, interoperable, and ready to protect NATO’s values. We will continue to build capabilities together that will further strengthen deterrence, collective defense, and regional stability,” said SACEUR.
