For the first time since 2013, a working group is being formed to draft the Treaty on Accession to the European Union, announced the Prime Minister of Montenegro, Milojko Spajić.

"We are grateful to the Committee of Permanent Representatives of the Member States of the European Union (COREPER), which today approved the formation of the working group, as well as to Cyprus, the EU presidency, for its efficient action and affirmation of the enlargement process in accordance with its merits," Spajić said in a post on the X network.

As a reminder, the Ministry of European Affairs announced today that the Committee of Permanent Representatives of the Member States of the European Union (COREPER) approved the formation of an ad hoc working group to draft the Treaty on the Accession of Montenegro to the European Union, thus making a key step towards the conclusion of the negotiation process.
