Iz štampe je izašao 18. broj časopisa „Jezerski vrh“, izdanje za jun, jul i avgust 2026. godine, koje donosi raznovrsne tekstove iz oblasti zaštite prirode, ekologije, kulturnog nasljeđa, nauke, turizma, sporta i društvene odgovornosti.

The magazine is published quarterly, that is, four times a year, in a circulation of 500 copies, as a free copy intended for readers, institutions, collaborators, nature lovers, and everyone who follows topics of importance for the preservation of natural and cultural heritage. The publication of this issue was supported by the Ministry of Culture and Media of Montenegro, recognizing the significance of the magazine in promoting culture, nature, identity, public interest, and a responsible relationship towards the space.

The new issue features the following texts: “Care for forests in the Principality of Montenegro (1852–1910) (X)” Prepared by: Igor Kokotović. The text continues the valuable reminder of Montenegro’s historical relationship with forests, legal norms, and the preservation of natural resources.

“Bear’s Paw – wild strength and healing gift of Mount Lovćen” Written by: Almir Jasavić. This contribution presents one of the striking plant species of Lovćen, its traditional use, healing properties, and the need for caution in its use.

“The European path of ecology in Montenegro (II)” Written by: Dr. Veselin Luburić. The text points to Montenegro’s modern obligations in the field of environmental protection, European standards, protected areas, and Chapter 27.

“Kolpa Landscape Park – an example of nature and cultural landscape preservation” Written by: Editorial Board of “Jezerski vrh”. The editorial text presents Kolpa Landscape Park as a valuable example of good practice in nature preservation, biodiversity, cultural landscape, and sustainable cooperation with the local community.

“Budva villages – pearls of ethno-tourism” Written by: Aleksandra (Veljkova) Vujović. The contribution affirms the villages of the Budva hinterland as spaces of authenticity, tradition, stone architecture, ethno-tourism, and preserved coastal identity.

“Lazar Dragojević – triple champion in Zadar” Written by: Veselin Živanović. The sports text is dedicated to the success of Lazar Dragojević, who won three gold medals at the international para-swimming meeting in Zadar.

“Lovćen in international scientific focus” Written by: Sanja Lubarda, biologist. The text presents the significance of scientific work on the relationship between the National Park Lovćen and the local community, published in the international journal Environmental Management.

“The role of women in nature protection, tourism, and sustainable development” Written by: Tomo Pajović. This contribution emphasizes the importance of women in nature protection, visitor education, promotion of sustainable tourism, and preservation of local values.

“JPNPCG participant in the workshop on visitor management” Written by: Marina Kojović. The text provides an overview of the workshop dedicated to improving visitor management in protected areas of Montenegro.

“In memoriam: Dr. Milosav – Mišo Anđelić (1967–2026)” Written by: Božidar Proročić. The memory is dedicated to Dr. Milosav Mišo Anđelić, an expert and a man whose life and work were deeply connected with Lovćen, Durmitor, and nature protection.

“Nature monument ‘Park-forest Gorica’ (I)” Written by: Mr. Jasmin Spahić, dipl. oec. The text presents the natural, recreational, historical, and cultural values of Park-forest Gorica, one of the most important green spaces in Podgorica.

“Njeguši, Lovćen, and old Montenegrin roads” Prepared by: Igor Drašković. The contribution reminds of the significance of old pedestrian and caravan paths that connected Kotor, Njeguši, Lovćen, and Cetinje.

“Horolac – the trail that connects meadows and peaks” Written by: Boban Redžepagić. The hiking text guides readers through the area of Horolac and Kofiljača in the National Park Prokletije, highlighting the beauty of the trail, summer pastures, meadows, and high mountain views.

The eighteenth issue of “Jezerski vrh” confirms the continuity of the magazine that connects nature, culture, science, tradition, sports, and contemporary challenges of space protection. Through diverse texts and authors of various professional and creative profiles, this edition offers readers content that informs, educates, and encourages a more responsible relationship towards the natural and cultural values of Montenegro and the region.
