"This strong regional alliance includes AOGGAB - Association of Organizers of Gambling Games and Activities of Bulgaria, UPIS - Association of Organizers of Games of Chance in the Republika Srpska, AGOS - Association of Gaming Operators of Serbia, HUPIS - Croatian Association of Organizers of Games of Chance, ROMSLOT - Romanian Slot Machine Operators Association, MAK Gaming - Macedonian Games Industry Association and the Group of Organizers of Games of Chance of the Chamber of Commerce of Montenegro," the statement said.
This initiative comes, they say, at a time when the industry across the region is facing increasingly restrictive legislation, the growth of illegal operations, and a lack of a coordinated approach to key regulatory challenges.
"The federation's goals are ambitious and concrete: a decisive fight against the illegal market that threatens both the state and players, the promotion of responsible hosting and user protection, the creation of a more open and competitive market and harmonisation with European standards and practices. The formation of this platform represents a milestone - for the first time the industry in the Balkans is acting unitedly, with a clear vision and common interests," they said in a statement.
For the Group of Game Organizers of the Chamber of Commerce of Montenegro, this is a major strategic step forward, positioning the domestic industry as an active and relevant partner in the regional framework.
"At the same time, in the coming period, an even stronger step forward for the Group is expected, joining the European organization EUROMAT, which will give the voice of the industry from Montenegro additional weight at the European level. The meeting and ceremony on the occasion of signing the Memorandum of Cooperation, held on March 27 in Belgrade, was attended by President Filip Knežević, Deputy President Miloš Lalević and Secretary Sanja Marković on behalf of the Group of Game Organizers," they concluded in the statement.
