The fast train that left Belgrade at 8 p.m. last night is at least five and a half hours late.
– According to the timetable, the train leaves the Bar station at 7:05. The train should arrive in Bar today around 12:30, Primorsko Portal was told by the information desk at the Railway Station in New.
When asked why the train was late, the information officer said he didn't know.
However, passengers of this train told Primorsko Portal that they had an unplanned night trip to Šumadija on the night between Monday and Tuesday.
– For reasons still undetermined, the train from Požega was directed towards Čačak, instead of Zlatibor. When it was noticed that we were traveling towards Šumadija, we waited for hours for the train to be redirected towards Zlatibor, passengers of the fast train told Primorski Portal.
Who is responsible for this oversight, the switchman in Požega, or the train driver on the high-speed train, will probably be determined by the authorities in Serbia. Certainly, directing a train onto the wrong track endangers the safety of rail traffic.
