His brilliant performances also earned him recognition from the Football Writers' Association of England, the first time a United player has received this award since Wayne Rooney.
He won the prestigious EA SPORTS award with the votes of fans and a professional jury, ahead of competitors including Erling Haaland and Declan Rice.
