Zirojević: No one in Montenegro should feel threatened because of their religious or other affiliation

If the information that the driver of the "Lalatović Travel" bus company discriminated against a female passenger because she was wearing a hijab turns out to be accurate, the reaction of state institutions must be urgent and effective, believes Nikola Zirojević, a member of the European Parliament.

He says that he also expects a quick and adequate response from the trucking company.

"Diversity has always been and will always be the greatest asset of our homeland. Montenegro must not be a country where, in any place, at any time, anyone feels threatened because of their religious or other affiliation. I give my full support to citizen Marsela Sukić, because it is the obligation of all of us to protect her right to wear the hijab and the freedom to express her Islamic faith," said Zirojević.
