What a handball performance and what a party in Bucharest – Bojana Popović on the bench, Đina Jauković and Tanja Brnović on the court celebrating the Romanian club's placement in the final four of the Champions League.

Bucharest outclassed Esbjerg 37:27 in the second leg of the quarter-finals, smoothly making up for the minus one from the first game (26:25) and reaching the final of the elite competition for the first time since 2018.

It's a great triumph for the club, for Bojana Popović, who took over as coach in December, when the playoffs were in doubt, and a great triumph for Đina and Tanja, who confirmed their status as big stars on the European scene.

Bucharest, in doing so, took revenge on Esbjerg for three consecutive quarter-final eliminations, in 2022, 2023, and 2025, and did so in grand style and with atomic handball.

The Bucharest Tigers dominated against an exceptional rival, led by the best player of today, Heni Rejstad, who, due to brilliant defense in which Gina and Tanja played key roles, ended the match with six goals from 13 shots, which is a below-average performance for her.

Elizabet Omoregi and Trine Ostergaard each scored six goals for Bucharest, Valerija Maslova scored five, Đina Jauković and Tanja Brnović scored four goals each…
