This was also the first meeting of the winning party with representatives of Fidesz, which suffered a debacle in the elections, and it is interesting that Peter Magyar on one side and Đerđelji Guljaš on the other side found themselves at the same table. It was these two who marked some of the most heated political debates in Hungary, with Guljaš often calling Magyar a "fool".
Before the interview, Peter Magyar shared more information about the Parliament, which he called the most beautiful building in the world. The future Prime Minister explained:
"We have come for the first consultations with other parties and the General Directorate of the Parliament on positions in committees, positions of deputy speakers of the Parliament, the work and organization of the constituent session," said the Hungarian.
Peter Mađar also mentioned that, after counting the votes of foreign missions and through transfers, which is 350-400 thousand votes, Tiša could have three or four additional individual mandates, reaching or exceeding the number of representatives of 140, which would provide them with a more than comfortable two-thirds majority.
The Tiša party has requested that a prime minister be elected immediately at the constituent session, so that a new government can be formed more quickly. Peter Magar has announced that this could happen as early as early May.
"We would like to announce a large, national, public event on Košuta Lajoša Square on the occasion of the inaugural session, the day of the election of the Prime Minister. The President of the Republic decides on the date of the inaugural session, but the earliest realistic date would be May 7th and 8th. We have proposed that it be on a weekend, on Saturday or Sunday, May 9th or 10th, so that as many people as possible can be on the square," he said.
