The Možura project brought the state only profit without investment, the opposition claims, asking the Government why they did not terminate the contract if they suspect corrupt practices, the authorities respond that the disputed details must be determined in a legal proceeding, and that until now the transfer of the contract has been carried out based on the opinion of the Ministry of Economy, which they consider questionable, because it did so selectively by transferring the position of the law firm.
PES asks what will happen after the lease expires in 2036, since the investor, as they say, has the right to extend the contract - which implies, they warn, that there is a risk that the energy facility will not be part of state property.
Rakočević asked Čarapić if he knew in which case they could just extend the contract when it expired?
"Only in the event, as stated in the contract, that one of the 4 largest global audits determines that they have not returned the investment - in that case they can extend the contract only if one of the Big 4 assesses that they will return the investment, not make money - but return the investment," said Rakočević.
The Možura wind farm is one of the most expensive in Europe, with the fewest operating hours, claims Elektroprivreda, while the opposition is asking how much profit the state-owned company has made from the wind farm.
"When the state guarantees a price to a private company for 12 years, every number in that price must be fair and verified. If you take too few hours, too high an investment, too high a yield and no one checks the bills, then the difference does not disappear, it goes to the expense of EPCG and the citizens," said the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Elektroprivreda CG Milutin Đukanović.
DPS MP Oskar Hüter He asked Đukanović how he interpreted the official position of the Ministry of Energy from 2022, that thanks to renewable energy sources, including the Možura wind farm, it had generated a profit of 73 million euros in just one year.
"The answer is more complex - I'm telling you, you take the entire production of that wind farm and multiply it by the average monthly price, and do you know how much Možura produced in August? Zero," said Đukanović.
Government representatives say that the Central Register of Business Entities, where the controversial offshore companies involved in the Možura project were registered, should also be investigated.
