"We warn that the Iranian armed forces will soon respond and retaliate against this armed piracy by the US military," an Iranian military spokesman said early this morning, Radio Free Europe reports.

US Central Command said the Tuska ship failed to carry out "repeated orders" over a six-hour period.
They stated that the American guided missile destroyer Spruance fired several missiles into the engine room of the Tuska.
