- US President Donald Trump accused Iran of violating a two-week ceasefire by closing the Strait of Hormuz and attacking ships sailing through it. He repeated his threat to disable Iranian power plants and bridges unless Tehran reaches a deal to end the war.
- He also announced a new round of negotiations with Iran, revealing that J.D. Vance would not lead the US delegation to those talks.
- Tehran has refused to participate in the second round of talks, insisting that it will continue to control the Strait of Hormuz and that the blockade remains in place until the US lifts its blockade of Iranian ports.
- Despite a ten-day fragile ceasefire that has come into effect, the Israeli Air Force (IDF) has continued its attacks on Hezbollah positions in southern Lebanon, claiming to have killed more than 150 Hezbollah operatives, including several senior commanders.

Iran's armed forces warn of retaliation against US for seizing their ship
The spokesman for the Central Command of the Iranian Armed Forces, Hazrat Hatam al-Anbiya, stated that the country's armed forces "will soon respond and retaliate" to what he called "armed piracy committed by the US military," namely the stopping and seizing of a ship in the Gulf of Oman.
"The aggressor America violated the ceasefire and committed maritime piracy by firing at one of the Iranian merchant ships in the waters of the Gulf of Oman and disabling its navigation system by landing several of its terrorist marines on board the said ship," the statement carried by Iran's Tasnim news agency said.
US President Donald Trump announced yesterday that US Marines in the Gulf of Oman have taken control of an Iranian-flagged cargo ship that attempted to breach the US naval blockade of the Strait of Hormuz.

US military releases video of Iranian ship seizure

Merc: Germany is preparing measures due to possible kerosene shortage
German Chancellor Friedrich Merz said the federal government is ready to respond to a possible kerosene shortage in Europe, adding that supplies are difficult but still stable.
He also announced, as reported by Spiegel, that the government would soon convene the National Security Council to consider energy supplies.
"We will convene the National Security Council very soon to discuss the issue of security of supply," Merz said on Sunday, stressing that the economy and citizens must have a reliable supply of key energy sources such as diesel, gasoline and jet fuel.
German Vice Chancellor and Finance Minister Lars Klingbeil previously warned that warnings about a possible kerosene shortage must be taken seriously, emphasizing that, in addition to prices, the focus must also be on security of supply.
German Economy Minister Katarina Reiche previously announced that she would meet with representatives of the German aviation industry to discuss the situation, with the message that supply is currently stable, but that global market developments are being closely monitored.
According to her, Germany has significant reserves of oil and petroleum products, including about one million tons of kerosene, which, according to estimates, could cover needs for up to five months in the event of possible supply disruptions.
Additional concerns were fueled by a warning from the director of the International Energy Agency (IEA), Fatih Birol, that Europe could face problems with jet fuel supplies in as little as six weeks, due to the conflict with Iran.
