"Ninety million brave and pious Iranians and compatriots inside and outside the country consider the entire original, spiritual, human, scientific and industrial potential to be national wealth, as well as new and fundamental technologies, from nano and biotechnologies to nuclear and missile technologies," Khamenei said in a speech marking Persian Gulf Day.
The Supreme Leader added that Iran intends to protect all of these achievements just as it defends its land, sea and air borders, Srna reports.
Gulf Day, an official holiday in the Islamic Republic, was established to commemorate the removal of Portuguese colonial forces from the country's southern shores nearly four centuries ago.
