The "Blues" thus took revenge on the "black and whites" for the defeat in the first part of the season, but Partizan has a better head-to-head record.

With this victory, Buducnost reached a score of 17-5 and tied with Red Star Belgrade in third place, but the Belgrade Euroleague team has the advantage due to a better head-to-head record.

On the other hand, Partizan fell to second place after the defeat with a 19-3 record, the same as Dubai, which is the leader thanks to a better head-to-head record.

With only 10 players on the roster, without Đorđi Jovanović, Džuvan Morgan and Fletcher Magee, and with James Thompson not playing, the Podgorica team managed to stop the heated "steamroller" that had apparently run out of energy after the duel with Red Star in the Euroleague, as if an emotional discharge had occurred in the chosen one, Gjoan Peñaroja.

If Partizan had not "listened" to the shot from outside the 6.75 line (at one point over 70 percent success rate), the Montenegrin champion's victory would probably have come earlier and been more convincing, but when the guests stopped shooting in the last quarter, they could not match the spirited rival who played as a team, with an excellent performance by the French midfielders Axel Butey and Jordan Butsiel who used the racket and the fact that Bruno Fernando and Tony Jerkire got into trouble early with personal fouls. Skylar Mays and Yogi Ferrell were also in a good mood, as was Rashid Sulajmon who had a great role at the beginning of the second quarter.

Buducnost did not start the match very well – they lost four balls in the first three minutes, but the scoreboard showed 6:6. The first points for the "blues" from the field after almost five minutes were scored by Jerry Butsiel, who scored with a foul – 9:8. A mini-series by the guests followed – 9:13.

Butej and Butsijel led and solved the attacks of the Montenegrin champion, on the other side Sterling Brown. At the score of 15:15, a three-point shootout began - two consecutive threes by Skylar Mays on one side and Brown on the other, and Arijan Lakić concluded the opening period with two threes in a row - 24:27.

At the very start of the second period, the guests lost the ball, and Andrija Slavković followed it all up, only for Aleksa Radanov to hit a three-pointer from the corner for plus four – 26:30. Then a 7:0 run followed after Rashid Sulajmon started his run – 33:30. The 32-year-old native of Texas took matters into his own hands and with eight points in a row led his teammates to plus five – 38:33.

In the 19th minute, after Butej's three-pointer, or rather his first points in the second half, the scoreboard showed a new biggest lead – 49:41. It was then 51:45. and Žakel's team went into the break with a plus seven (52:45).

In the opening seconds of the second half, Butsijel made his third shot in the game and forced a foul, but unlike the previous two, he did not make an additional shot – 54:45 (maximum plus nine). After that, in less than two minutes, Partizan made an 11:0 run (three three-pointers and Bonga's points) for a complete turnaround – 54:56. Ferel ended the rival's run with a three-pointer from the corner after a steal, and then the Montenegrin champion took over the momentum and made a 9:2 run for 63:58. Lakić brought the "black and whites" back with a three-pointer, and after that it was a basket-for-basket game, when Dilan Osetkovski scored from a counterattack for a new equalizer – 67:67, and then a three-pointer for a new turnaround – 72:73.

Mays opened the decisive quarter with five consecutive points – 79:73. Milton responded with 2+1, and then Sulajmon hit a three-pointer, and then Butsiel laid in to return to plus eight – 84:76 five and a half minutes before the end. After a timeout by Peñarroya, the Euroleague team immediately halved the deficit – 84:80 and “forced” Žakelj to a timeout. After a minute of rest for the Slovenian expert, Butsiel scored, but Milton and Jones reduced the lead to 86:84. Ferrell returned two possessions of surplus to the "blues" from the penalty spot, and Butej rounded off a great game in the right way, after hitting a three-pointer after an offensive rebound, and then practically closing the game on a counterattack - 93:86. True, Sulajmon then missed both shots, Osetkovski hit a three-pointer, but Ferrell put an end to the match from the penalty spot.

The most efficient player for the winners was Axel Butey with 19 points and seven rebounds. Jerry Butsiel and Yogi Ferrell added 16 each. Skylar Mays 15, Rashid Sulaiman 13…

On the other side, Shake Milton led the way with 21 points, followed by Sterling Brown (19), Karlik Jones (11) and Isaac Bonga (10).

Buducnost will be visiting Dubai in the next round, on April 13th, while Partizan will be playing against Mitrović's Cedevita Olimpija the day before.
