The tournament will be held from April 7th to 13th in Malta, and the Montenegrin team will face Kazakhstan, Argentina and Great Britain in the first three rounds.
After the preliminary phase, a single table of all 24 participants will be formed, in accordance with a new ranking system that takes into account results, goal difference and the strength of the opponent.
The top 16 teams will advance to the elimination phase, followed by the round of 16 matches.
Montenegro's goal is to qualify for the final World Cup tournament, which will be held in Sydney at the end of July.
