Russell wins sprint race in Canada

Mercedes driver George Russell won today's Formula 1 sprint race held as part of the Canadian Grand Prix.

Second place was won by McLaren driver Lando Norris, 1.272 seconds behind, while third place was Kimi Antonelli in a Mercedes, who was 1.843 seconds slower than the winner.

Points were also won by McLaren driver Oscar Piastre, Ferrari's Charles Leclerc and Lewis Hamilton, Red Bull's Max Verstappen and Racing Bull's Arvid Lindblad.

Antonelli is leading the overall standings with 103 points, Russell is second with 88, while Leclerc is in third place with 68 points won.

Radončić received a "PRO" license

Qualifying for the race is scheduled for tonight at 10:00 PM, while the Canadian Grand Prix is scheduled for tomorrow, also at 10:00 PM.
