Paramont qualified for the semifinals as the third-place team in the league portion of the championship.
After five rounds and four tournaments played, the performance ended with three triumphs and two losses.
They won against Una Sana from Bihać 62:49, Zmaj from Gradačac 65:54 and the official champion Parasport Slovenia 71:45, while they were defeated by Vrbas 81:67 and Parasport Croatia 68:53.
Paramont's rival in the semifinals, tomorrow at 3 p.m., will be home team Vrbas, who finished the league portion of the regional competition with three wins and two losses, as second place.
Coach Vladan Nikolić said that he is optimistic and that the Podgorica basketball players want to reach the first final of the regional competition.
He reminded that in the last tournament, Paramont convincingly defeated the official champion, the Parasport team from Slovenia, which had won against Vrbas in the first round.
"We lost at the start to Vrbas, but Paramont is now a much more experienced and well-coordinated team than they were then. Of course, it will be difficult in front of their fans, but we hope for a historic success. This is our chance to reach the final of the regional NLB Wheel League for the first time," said Nikolić.
The match in the Borik hall starts at 3:30 p.m.
In the second semi-final, two hours earlier, Parasport from Ljubljana and Parasport Croatia will meet.
The final, as well as the match for third place, are scheduled for May 23rd in Ljubljana.
