Radović and Bakić with maximum performance to reach the quarterfinals in Linjan

Montenegrin Paralympians Filip Radović and Luka Bakić, as the first-place finishers in their group, with maximum performance, advanced to the quarterfinals of the table tennis challenger in Lignano Sabbiadoro, Italy.

At the start of the competition in group three, Radović defeated German Mio Wagner 3:0 (12:10, 11:4 and 11:7), while in the match for first place he was better than Pole Igor Mištal 3:0 (11:5, 11:1 and 11:2).

In the second group, Bakić avenged his defeat to Brazilian Gabriel de Oliveira in Vladislavovo and won 3:1 (11:7, 11:6, 9:11 and 14:12).

In the duel for first place, he defeated Spaniard Jose Manuel Ruiz Reyes 3:0 (11:5, 11:7 and 13:11).

Radović will play against Brazilian De Oliveira in the quarterfinals tomorrow at 11:20 am, while Bakić's rival will be Frenchman Mateo Bohas.

Bohas played in the Challenger final in Vladislavovo last week, but was defeated in three sets by Radović.

In the other quarterfinal matches, Pavel Vlodika and Japan's Nariaki Kakita will meet, and Kristijan Gardoš and Igor Mištal will meet.

Tomorrow, the semi-final (3:40 PM) and final duel (5:20 PM) are scheduled.

Montenegrin table tennis players, competing in the S10 category, are led by coaches Marko Jevtović and Čedomir Damjanović in Linjan.
