The final series is played to two wins, and the second match will be played on Thursday (8 p.m.), also in "Morača".
The "Students" took a 2:0 lead, but the reigning champion responded with a 10:0 run. Shortly after, the "blues" gained a double-digit lead – 16:6, and after the opening ten minutes the scoreboard showed 26:12 in favor of Fletcher Magee and his teammates.
At the beginning of the second quarter, Andrej Žakelj's team was up 15 points on two occasions (27:12 and 29:14), but SC Derbi quickly returned to the match with an 8:0 run – 31:25. Buducnost again pulled away to a double-digit lead – 35:25, but by the break, Mijović's team had halved the deficit (44:39).
At the start of the second half, the "blues" made a 7:0 run, but SC Derbi kept the lead thanks to three-pointers. Buducnost made a 10:2 run in the middle of the third period for 67:50 and practically removed all doubts about the winner.
In the last quarter, the difference reached a maximum of plus 31 with two minutes left. After that, Žakelj gave a chance to practically all players, which the rival used to somewhat mitigate the defeat, and a great role in the last ten minutes was played by junior Andrija Đaletić, who scored 10 points in that period.
The triumph of Buducnost was spiced up by young Mateja Obradović with a basket at the sound of the siren from half court.
Najefikasniji kod pobjednika bio je Jogi Ferel sa 27 poena. Flečer Megi dodao je 18, Zoran Nikolić 13, Đorđije Jovanović 12.
Na drugoj strani prednjačio je Mateo Drežnjak sa 23 poena.
