Javier Mascherano has decided to step down as Inter's head coach for personal reasons.
“I would like to inform everyone that, for personal reasons, I have decided to end my term as head coach of Inter Miami. First of all, I would like to thank the club for the trust they have placed in me, all the employees who are part of the organization for their joint efforts, and especially the players, who have made it possible for us to experience unforgettable moments.
I also want to thank the fans and La Familia, because none of this would be possible without them. I will always carry the memory of our first star with me, and wherever I am, I will continue to wish the club all the best in the future. I have no doubt that the club will continue to achieve success. I send you all a big hug and thank you for everything", Mascherano said in his statement.
The Argentine expert has been on the Inter bench since January 2025. During that time, he led the club in 67 matches and achieved 38 wins, 15 draws and 14 losses.
