The Montenegrin water polo team will play against Great Britain today (4:30 p.m.) in the final round of the opening phase of the World Cup qualifying tournament in Malta.

The "Sharks" recorded two convincing victories in the first two rounds, as expected, against Kazakhstan (27:6) and Argentina (21:5), while the British were defeated by China (17:8) and Russia (21:9), which is performing under the name "Neutral Athletes Team".

Just like in the previous two duels, Dejan Savić's team are huge favorites in today's match.

After this phase, a single table of all 24 qualifying participants will be formed, and the top 16 teams will advance to the elimination round, based on results, goal difference, and the strength of their opponents.
