Mandić laid wreaths at the barracks in Masline and Danilovgrad on the occasion of the 27th anniversary of the beginning of the NATO bombing

The President of the Parliament of Montenegro, Andrija Mandić, today laid wreaths at the barracks "Vojvoda Marko Miljanov Popović" in Podgorica and "Narodni heroj Milovan Šaranović" in Danilovgrad, paying tribute to the innocent victims and heroes who defended the skies and borders of the Federal Republic of Yugoslavia 27 years ago. Mandić laid the wreaths accompanied by the Chief of Staff Mirko Miličić and the Acting Staff Officer/Advisor of the Parliament of Montenegro, Major Zoran Mijatović, the Parliament of Montenegro announced.

In Podgorica, a wreath was dedicated to the "heroes of our country", with the message that we proudly remember them as brave people who, driven by sincere patriotism and love for their homeland, stood in defense of their common state and gave it everything, including their own lives.

The wreath in Danilovgrad is dedicated to the first victim of NATO bombing, young soldier Saša Stajić, as well as to all the heroes who gave their lives in defense of our common homeland, reminding us that we remember all innocent civilian victims with reverence and dignity.

On this occasion, Mandić spoke with the family of the deceased soldier Saša Stajić, emphasizing that his sacrifice, as well as that of all soldiers and officers of the Yugoslav Army, has not and will never be forgotten.
