According to Monstat data, the number of passengers transported in rail transport last year decreased by 12.3 percent compared to 2024, and the quantity of goods transported increased by 2.1 percent.
"The number of passengers transported in road transport last year compared to 2024 recorded an increase of 1.4 percent, while local road transport recorded a decrease of 5.6 percent," the statement said.
Statisticians stated that the number of tons transshipped in ports last year was at the same level as in 2024, while manipulated tons decreased by 3.6 percent in the same period.
"Total goods traffic in ports last year increased by 1.6 percent compared to 2024," the statement added.
The number of passengers transported at airports last year, compared to 2024, increased by 7.4 percent, while goods transported in the same period decreased by 13.4 percent.
"The number of passengers transported in air transport last year increased by 3.1 percent compared to 2024," said Monstat.
The number of registered road motor vehicles and trailers last year was 326.71 thousand, which is 6.5 percent more than in 2024.
"The number of newly registered road motor vehicles and trailers last year was 35.62 thousand, which is 3.4 percent less than in 2024," the statement said.
Statisticians said that the consumption of landline minutes last year compared to 2024 recorded a 17.5 percent decrease, while the consumption of mobile minutes increased by nine percent.
