A horrific gas cylinder explosion occurred today, April 16th, at around 12:55 p.m. in an apartment in Malisevo near Pristina, and, according to initial information, two children and their father were killed.

As reported by local media, the director of the so-called Kosovo Police for the Gjakova region, Ljumni Graišta, confirmed that a boy and a girl, aged 9 and 11, as well as their 30-year-old father, were among the victims.

The circumstances that led to the explosion have not yet been fully clarified, but it is assumed that the incident occurred due to the detonation of a gas cylinder in a residential area.

After the explosion, a fire broke out, further complicating the situation on the ground, but fire crews reacted quickly and managed to localize the fire, preventing it from spreading to surrounding apartments and buildings, writes IndexOnline.
