Caković announces expanded list of volleyball players for the European League

The head coach of the Montenegrin women's senior volleyball team, Jovo Caković, has announced a larger list of volleyball players to compete in the new edition of the European League.

The "Reds" will play in three tournaments this June – in Bar, which will be their base, as well as in Blaž, Romania, and in Pristina.

There are 26 players on the list:

The selector's technical staff Young Caković are made by assistants Milan Milosevic i Luka Bogojevic, fitness trainer Milan Cutovic, statističar Ognjen Markovic i fizioterapeut Mitar Androvic.

The volleyball team will gather in Bar on May 11th and prepare for the start of the European League, the first matches of which will be played in the city near Rumija. As part of the preparations, Jovo Caković's team will play test matches with Bosnia and Herzegovina, and then in SC "Topolica" to host Slovenia and Georgia on June 5 and 7, respectivelyThe next tournament for the "reds" is in Blaž, Romania, from June 12 to 14, where they will face the host and the second-placed team from the preliminary tournament in Odense, in which Denmark, Lithuania, Luxembourg and Albania will fight for the remaining two places in the European League. Montenegro will play the matches of the third tournament with the national teams of Kosovo and Hungary in Pristina on June 19 and 20.

Prema utvrđenim pravilima takmičenja, četiri najbolje plasirane ekipe nakon završetka ligaškog dijela izboriće plasman u polufinale. U ovoj fazi takmičenja sastaju se prvoplasirani i četvrtoplasirani tim, odnosno drugoplasirani i trećeplasirani.

Polufinalni susreti igraju se u dvije utakmice. Prve, domaće utakmice na programu su 27. ili 28. juna, dok su revanš mečevi zakazani za 1. jul.

Nakon polufinala slijedi finalna završnica takmičenja, koja će takođe biti odigrana u formatu dvije utakmice. Prva finalna utakmica planirana je za 8. jul, dok će revanš biti odigran 11. ili 12. jula.

S obzirom na to da ove godine neće biti organizovan finalni turnir, neće se igrati utakmica za treće mjesto. Poražene ekipe iz polufinala biće rangirane na treće i četvrto mjesto na osnovu svojih rezultata ostvarenih u polufinalnim utakmicama.
