During the meeting, it was assessed that relations between Montenegro and the United Arab Emirates are friendly and stable, with expressed readiness to further strengthen them through improving political dialogue, as well as intensifying economic and investment cooperation.
The Government states that Vice President Ivanovic highlighted the importance of the United Arab Emirates as a reliable partner for Montenegro in the field of development and investment, emphasizing the Government's commitment to reforms that improve the business environment, strengthen the rule of law and provide stable and predictable conditions for foreign investors. In this context, it was particularly emphasized that the European integration process remains a key strategic priority for Montenegro, contributing to strengthening institutional stability, economic development and harmonization with European standards.
Ambassador Al Shemeili highlighted the United Arab Emirates' interest in further enhancing its investment presence in Montenegro, particularly in the areas of tourism, energy, infrastructure and the digital economy, stressing that they see Montenegro as a stable and promising partner in the Western Balkans region. He also expressed support for Montenegro's European path, assessing that progress in the European integration process further strengthens the country's trust and attractiveness.
They also discussed possibilities for improving transport connectivity, including strengthening direct air routes, as well as the potential for cooperation in the field of information technology, digital infrastructure and the development of data centers.
At the end of the meeting, a joint willingness was expressed to further deepen bilateral cooperation and continue intensive political dialogue, with the belief that existing friendly relations will be further strengthened through concrete projects of mutual interest.
