When asked about the failure to adopt the draft law on the symbols of the Democratic People's Party, Marković pointed out that the Montenegrin Forum's positions on respecting state symbols have been clear from the beginning.
"We are an organization that deals with the protection of the constitutional order, human rights and symbols of the state of Montenegro, as well as supporting the rule of law," Marković emphasized.
She states that any unnecessary association of the state, national flag with any other flag represents a certain form of discrimination for her.
"It is well known how much continuity this flag has. I do not want to get into the feelings of those who want the tricolor as the state flag, but I must remind the public that this is the flag that represented Montenegro and which was forcibly abolished in 1918," said Marković.
The former government, responsible for the disrespect of the national flag, failed to properly protect national symbols.
Marković emphasized that she was lucky - any flag would represent state, or national unity.
"The Montenegrin state flag has a thousand-year continuity. The former government is responsible for the fact that the state flag is not respected, as it has not properly protected and treated state symbols to this day," Marković pointed out.
Representative of Alternative Montenegro Zarija Pavicevic believes that it is entirely legitimate for any political group, in accordance with its inherited policies, to have the right to demand what the people voted for and elected them.
"It's tiring for me to hear year after year how often we cover ourselves under the cloak of this or that flag, because it often seems to me that whenever we turn this or that flag over, it hides a much deeper background," said Pavićević.

"But it seems to me that this story has been used to cover up some criminal acts for the past 30 years. In this situation, we have those who swore the greatest patriotism and who directly undermined the entire state, the entire foundations of statehood, the entire system - so we witnessed that those who are the greatest patriots and the greatest sons of this state did not pay the 1.60 euro monthly bill for the collection of utilities," said Pavićević.
Pavićević believes that the measure of love, the measure of patriotism towards the country, should be measured on a different scale.
"Let us show by personal example that we primarily pay the obligations we owe to this country. Let us respect the laws," emphasized Pavicevic.
Pavićević states that things are much better today and that we need to go through the process of democratization.
"For democracy to come into full swing, changes are necessary that we will have to go through upon entering the European Union. And are we ready for that? I think that mentally we are not," emphasized Pavićević.
