The residents of Botunja who are negotiating with the Capital City have gathered to deny the allegations of some locals that they were not elected to negotiate with Mayor Saša Mujović, and that this is not the position of the majority of the locals. As they claim, they received approval at a meeting held in February.

"When the collector work had already begun, we proposed that people be elected who would go to negotiations. Although there were disagreements, the old Board said we are not supporters, but you go and negotiate freely for Botun," said a Botun resident, Danijel Ćetković.

Another local resident, Milan Ćetković, recalls that they once called the mayor of Podgorica, Saša Mujović, as well as Prime Minister Milojko Spajić, through the media.

By agreeing to negotiations with Mayor Saša Mujović, they claim that they have not changed their position on the wastewater treatment plant for which they are accused. They say they are still against the construction, but say that the fight is lost, because the works are underway. Despite this, they want investments in Botun.

With the full support of the residents of Botuni and the Municipality of Zeta, the next steps, as announced, are the continuation of negotiations with the Capital. And the first works will begin, as announced and promised, after the holidays.
